Lately I've found myself getting hung up on a certain couple songs or jams that I will keep replaying a troubling number of times. Two examples of late: one China->Rider 9/11/73. http://archive.org/details/gd73-0911.sbd.lanum.184.sbeok.shnf.
The little jam between the two tunes is just so freakin' sweet. I don't know how to describe why, what the hook is, or whatever, but I replayed it three times in the commute to work this week and again on the way home. Today it was the Trucking->MLB jam->Spanish jam from 7/31/74.

It was stuck in my head all day, specifically the first few minutes or so of MLB. It was so bad I actually streamed it from my phone to "to get my fix."

I'm not sure, it might be the transition/seque from one to another as I can almost always enjoy a good, say, Slipknot. Regardless, I think I have a problem...haha.

Anyway, does this happen to you folks and more importantly, what are the specific jams (with dates) that you take hook, line and sinker? It might only be a couple minutes of something, but it gets you every time.

Yes, this has happened several times to me. Most recently, I have been hooked on the Darkness Jam of 9/19/70. On iTunes, I'll just loop that 80 seconds and listen to it 10-12 times in a row, wishing it were longer...

I found myself relistening to this gem a few times over last week. Not a particular hook, just an all out great performance and energy by all parties involved. I present the LIG to end Set 1:
